At the top of the news on Wednesday February 16

It is not necessarily Good News, but Jeffery Prosser took so much from the Virgin Islands, it is a relief whenever we see him lose his possessions and be humbled.  Now the bankruptcy court judge has handed down a decision that resolves some of the outstanding issues.  Jeffery Prossor is losing his wine cellar and all its contents.  The Prosser’s are still living in their mansion in Palm beach, but it is on the block to be sold at auction on March first.   Many assets that were purchased with ICC money and titled to the Prosser family are being transferred back to the trustee to be sold. The house on Lake Placid New York has been sold. And Oops, Prosser never showed the acquisition of his house as income on his income taxes.  Just goes to show if you give yourself goodies, you have to declare it as income or the tax authorities will come to collect.

Are Lionfish a cancer. Ask William Coles of the V.I. Division of Fish and Wildlife. He used the Super bowl dates to show the growth of lionfish.  On Super bowl Sunday 2009 they caught two lionfish. On Super bowl Sunday in 2010 they caught 17. On this Super bowl Sunday they caught 14,000 lionfish.  They are growing like cancer. Divers on St. Croix are working with new traps and lures to try to attract the lionfish to traps where they can be removed.
