The hotel complex is getting ready for a major renovation, and the senators were in favor of rebuilding the dock and constructing of a pump house with a 300 foot inlet for sea water. Frenchman's Reef is also going green by reducing the number of air conditioning  units by building a central plant and reducing the temperature of the outflow of their reverse osmosis plant by mixing it with seawater.

WAPA is having water trouble – Unit 15 is down and that reduces their ability to desalinate seawater. Which means less fresh water in their system.  WAPA will effect water conservation from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM in Lindberg Bay, Contant, Anna’s Fancy, Altona, Solberg., Upper Savan, Agnes Fancy, Frenchtown, Hospital ground, Berg’s Home and Estate Thomas.

On top of WAPA’s water problems, we have had the driest winter in 30 years which means cisterns are low, vegetation is dry and prone to fires and there is no sight of rain in the forecast.,  Everyone needs to practice water conservation.
