It is ALMOST open – Centerline road is ready to come back as
a two way road. The contractors finished
all the underground utility conduit placement, the new drainage is in place, the
road was leveled and resurfaced and yesterday they painted temporary stripes – now
it is ready to reopen as a two lane road from Mandela Circle to K-mart. One can only hope it will help relieve the
traffic congestion as much as fixing the intersection at Lucinda Millen Home helped
with that traffic clog. There remains underground wires to pull and after than the
utility poles will come down and of course there is still work on Long Bay road
and the road to Havensight mall entrance yet to go, but another step is
completed.
